Purpose. Given the need to improve performance of modern mainline rolling stock, authors analyze possibility using deeper regulation attenuation. Methodology. The analysis operation thyristor-pulse converter ER200 electric train is performed. It established that in acceleration mode at limit traction characteristic it necessary consider two zones: zone constant value force and power.
